At times I get asked to photograph editorial images for wedding magazines. I always enjoy the opportunity to work with an editor, stylist and team when so often I work alone on my shoots. Back in the Fall I was asked to shoot a Table Editorial for The Brides of Oklahoma. Michelle Mershon of Mershon Events had put together a wonderful table concept based around Country Chic. The shoot took place at Post Oak lodge in North Tulsa. The view is amazing as it over looks the downtown Tulsa skyline. You can see this table shoot published in the 2013 Winter edition of the Brides of Oklahoma magazine or you can find it published on Wed Society wedding blog.
Well I don’t google myself often. It is funny to find my images used in different places, every now and then I’ll find one being used by another photographer in the portfolio, that’s weird, but I don’t search often.
To my surprise I was searching tonight for Jesse Reich Photography and several pages down, I found a nice pictorial of a beautiful wedding I had photographed several years ago posted on Wed Society. I had worked with Lynn Wheatley of Lasting Impressions to photograph the wedding of Jennifer and David at the Golf Club of Oklahoma.
Lynn did a beautiful job of transforming the venue for the couple and it really showed. The wedding was perfect.
To the joy of the couple, Lynn and myself, the Brides of Oklahoma published the wedding in the coveted winter issue. Anyway, tonight I found where another blog had picked up the wedding and displayed it beautifully!
Andrea is my bride who was willing to do the really cool Wintery Snow Bridal Images in addition to some indoor images. Well she is now married to the every so wonderful Justin. The wedding ceremony was awesome with just the perfect decor thanks to Meghan Hurley of Concepts PR. The wedding party was a lot of fun and kept me rolling in laughter through out the day. With everyone’s spirits so high, how could anyone not enjoy hanging out with this crazy group? The reception took place at the really chic Campbell Hotel on 11th St. Dining was provided by Goodies Catering and I must say, it was exceptional! Keith Banks of Banks Entertainment rocked the dance floor and all the guests left with a personalized party favor thanks to Tulsa Photobooth.
Amy and Kyle will be married in May at the Hard Rock Casino in Catoosa, OK. I can only image what this wedding will look like since Amy plans events for a living. As excited as I am about the wedding, I’m just as excited about their Engagement session we photographed here in Tulsa back in the fall! They had some really fun ideas!
Every photographers dream is to have this killer session, with the right client, that really sets the standard for quality images. Andrea and I had joked about doing bridals in the snow, however the 2012 winter had no snow and we had very little so far in 2013. Talk about a surprise when we had snow on the 20th, the very day we were suppose to shoot Andrea’s bridals. We started the session with Meghan Hurley of Concepts PR at the IDL Ballroom. While inside the snow started falling again so we rushed out and took this beautiful bride and put her in the middle of a snowy field for a very quick photo shoot. Meghan has already blogged this session, but I’m just now getting it online!
