Concepts PR {Vintage Weddings in Tulsa}

From time to time I’m hired by wedding designers to come in and photograph event details from really unique events. I was recently asked to photograph some of the event details from a wedding that Meghan Hurley’s designed around a Vintage wedding theme. The bride had worked to collect a number of unique pieces giving Meghan everything she needed for the big day. Party Perfect provided the needed rentals to bring everything together and the Stinchcombe Mansion in Broken Arrow provided the back drop. Tulsa Photobooth offered up some memorable photos with an Open-Air photobooth using a custom vintage back drop. Themed weddings are popular, but not always easy due to the variety of little details needed to really make it work. For brides looking for a themed weddings, from Vintage to country chic, a wedding planner like Meghan can really make your vision a reality! Great job Meghan!

Lauren & Cody’s Beautiful Wedding {The Silo Tulsa}

As a wedding photographer in Tulsa, I truly have the best job in the world. Saturday I was able to spend an awesome Spring day with Lauren & Cody at the Silo here in Tulsa. Lindi Collins of the Bridal Garden provided us with some beautiful floral creations that really fit the Spring theme while Ludgers give us a very tasty cake. Chef Joe of the Silo shared some great dining while Hugo with Lions Road Studios provided entertainment. Most of the guests were now from Tulsa and traveled great distances to share the lovely day with Lauren and Cody. As always, here is a little preview!

Lindi Collins - Beautiful as always. I can’t wait to see more.

Lauren Delay - I love all the photos so far, well both Cody and I. 🙂 Can’t wait to see the rest of them! I don’t think my mom and I could’ve have found a better photographer for our day. Thanks so much Jesse!

Dawn Resar - Pictures are great! We were glad we got to share a beautiful day with Lauren and Cody.

Inspired Events {Beautiful Wedding Venue Bixby}

There is a new venue opening in the Bixby area. Inspired Event Center is home to a beautifully restored historic building in down town Bixby. Offering the bride several different options for her wedding, rehearsal dinner or a nice party location, Inspired Events can meet the needs. Recently I had the help of several awesome vendors to create some really cool photos of the venue. Keith Bank of Banks Entertainment helped out with some GREAT lighting that really set the inside and outside off! We had cars driving by over and over during the shoot to see what was going on. Ludgers provided us a beautiful cake for the evening and Meghan Hurley of Concepts-PR designed the layout and the tablescapes. Josh Mershon of Party Perfect provided us all the rentals we needed to bring the vision together.

Thanks to you all for your help, the final images really show how beautiful and elegant this venue will be for many brides in the years to come!

Dorothy Zabretsky - I am trying to find contact information for the inspired events venue.

Jesse - I’m sorry, I have no contact information for them. I believe it is now a dance studio.

Jennifer & Sam’s Camelot Wedding {Dresser Mansion Tulsa}

As I sit here and think of how to describe the wedding of Jennifer and Sam I find myself at a loss for words. If you know me, you know that’s hard to do. They didn’t just have a wedding, but a weekend celebration with friends from around the world. The best part of my job is meeting so many people and capturing their love, excitement and emotion. This wedding was one for the history books. I call it a Camelot wedding because it was truly magical. Smoke on Cherry St providing some over the top catering, with beautifully understated floral by Lindi with Bridal Garden and exciting music by Bob Schneider. The Dresser Mansion provided the back drop for this wonderful event and did so with the utmost class. As a photographer who focuses on Weddings, you never really know what’s going to happen on any given day here in Tulsa, but for the first weekend in April, it was PERFECT!

Brides of Oklahoma Table Shoot {Philbrook Museum}

Digging around I found a photo shoot I did for the Brides of Oklahoma to capture a really cool table design by Michelle Mershon at the Philbrook Museum. This table was something else from the antique glass wear to the pink coconut Ho-Ho’s. It was classic yet modern at the same time. In the end it was a beautiful creation that stood out among the other options. The Brides of Oklahoma gathers great ideas from the top wedding professionals in Oklahoma. A little about this photo shoot, it was HOT the day of the shoot. Michelle and Josh had arrived at the Philbrook much earlier in the day to start setting everything up. I’m not sure exactly what time they arrived but I had expressed not actually starting the photo shoot until after the sun had gone down.

Like all shoots I use extra lighting to provide focus to the subject and this shoot was no different. In all we used 6 strobes for the shoot. I could have used 6 more had I brought them with me. Did I mention it was HOT outside? As we watched the sun drop in the sky until it was behind the Philbrook, we prepared to actually start the shoot. A short 45 minutes later, we were done. Mershon’s 4-5 hours of setup for a short 45 minute photo shoot at the Philbrook gave the Brides of Oklahoma this wonderful creation by Michelle! It was an honor to take these pics.
