Meghan had a truly magical bridal session and we were able to shoot it inside of Holy Family Cathedral in Tulsa. The Cathedral was a new place for me to do a bridal session. I typically shoot ether on location, in my studio or in one of the mansions here in Tulsa like The Tulsa Rose Garden or McBirney Mansion (out of business). Meghan wanted Holy Family Cathedral and I was happy to have something different. If you’ve ever been to a wedding at Holy Family, you know how large it is and as a photographer it equates to endless options, however I’m very respectful of the church, the alter and the staff, so it took me a little time to get comfortable moving freely around. In addition to some more traditional images, we were able to capture this truly magical bridal image! I hope you love this image as much as I do!
I love my job! Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Jared Glover on a BEAUTIFUL wedding this Saturday. Ashely Farthing of Farthing Events planned a beautiful wedding for Lauren and Jared that took place at Glover Ranch. From the beautiful flowers by Anne-Marie of the French Bouquet to the great entertainment of Keith Banks of Banks entertainment, this wedding was one to remember. Krista McCauley of Tulsa Bridal Beauty did a great job on the make-up for Laurn! Catering by Orr provided some exceptional food that everyone enjoyed and Omni Lighting washed the reception on a variety of colors. Ludgers Cakes provided a very tasty and beautiful Wedding Cake. Although the day provided us with some challenges, the wedding party, families and guests were very high spirited and made the day a true joy. For anyone planning a Country Chic Wedding, this is the way to do it! There are a lot of images in this preview because with so much happening, I just couldn’t edit down the preview any smaller. You will need to be patient when letting this load, it might take some extra time. You will be able to see more great photos once the full photography gallery is online, and through the photobooth images of Tulsa Photobooth.
Lauren and Jared had a beautiful wedding this weekend so I can now post her awesome ranch bridal session. For her bridals we decided to go out Jared’s ranch and take advantage of the beautiful meadows. What a great decision, the area was very beautiful and perfect for her session. We had the full run of the place and thankfully the Long Horns didn’t mind us in their pasture. The wedding took place in the middle of a Pecan Orchard so we took advantage of the location and used it our backdrop for part of her bridal session. I’m always so excited to have wedding clients who are willing to take risks for their session. Just because everyone else uses the same locations in Tulsa, doesn’t mean you do. Thanks Lauren for being such a great Bride!
From time to time I get the joy of doing a day after session with some of my clients. The benefit of a day after session is we have more time together and we can really work for the best images. On the wedding day, photographers have to be really careful to get great photos as well as keep good track of time. This can be a difficult balance on the wedding day and sometimes it best to plan on doing a day-after session so the focus can be kept on the bride and groom and not on the photographer. We had a great wedding with Kim and Jamaal, we previously posted about it. Now we’ve had their Spring Day-After session and it was AWESOME! A beautiful Spring day and a beautiful couple. I hope you enjoy them.
Claire and Hunter will be getting married later this year in a beautiful wedding with the reception at Five Oaks lodge. Recently, however, we were able to photograph some engagements for them. It was a beautiful day and a lot of fun. I can’t wait for the big day. We had their cute pup along for a few shots and she did great during the session. The weather was great and I’m excited to share these images.
