As most of my close friends know our family suffered a loss back in August with our 10 year old Airedale Terrier, Brittany, passed away. It was a very hard time for us and one that made me realize how few images I had of her through the 10 years she was a part of our family.

We have been super blessed to have Lola, another Airedale Terrier, join our family several months ago. During these past months I’ve taken regular opportunities to photograph Lola and I’ve really enjoyed the time spent with her.

So… I’m looking to help other dog loving families with some professional portraits of their favorite pooch. I’m offering some free pet portrait sessions during the cold winter months. I have 10 open spots I’d like to fill with some loving pets.

Here are the details:

  • - Your pet needs to be less then 8 months old or over 2 years old. As not all pet owners train their dog I feel I can work with pups and adult
  • - I don’t know where the session will take place, maybe my studio, outside or your home… just depends on your pet
  • - The session is FREE
  • - Pets are welcome to bring along a favorite toy to make the time easier
  • - Family members are welcome to be in some shots with their Pooch!
  • - SORRY NO CATS ALLOWED….

I’ll chose the pets based on a mix of breeds, age, special characteristics, and age of owners…

It’ll be an awesome time, but all great trips have road bumps. Our first road bump came when some rain made our American Airline puddle jumper fly from Tulsa to Denver to Nebraska to somewhere to Chicago because the plane couldn’t get wet…

The second road bump, and the biggest yet, was when the staff at the Mirage Restaurant in the Four Point by Sheraton, decided to keep my wife’s cell phone. I’m very angry about this. What type of person cleans the table and pockets a phone.

Natalie was so hurt she cried herself to sleep, which really hurt me. I’m not an overly angry person, but I really want to go and shake them down… For anyone laying over @ O’Hare, stay away from the Four Points by Sheraton hotel… Do yourself a favor.

Anyway, we fly out to Miami at 6:00 AM and assume no more bumps, we’ll be on the beach by mid afternoon!!!! I’m super excited about this wedding as I want to try out some underwater photography. Looking forward to just getting away!

Our office is CLOSED until Tuesday, June 9th. After this post, we won’t have access to phone or email until we hit the mainland next week. Be safe…

We are in February of 2009 and we have officially booked our first wedding of 2010. April and Travis meet with me on Saturday and honored me by allowing me to be a part of their wedding. I do my best to book weddings no more then 12 months in advance, but we’ve been receiving a lot of 2010 inquiries. I’m excited to be apart of April and Travis’ wedding; I know the day will be awesome and full of some beautiful images.

For 2009 brides, we have a few weekends in July and August open, a few less in September and October. If you are still looking for a Spring wedding, everything from May 1 to June 27 is fully booked with the exception of June 20th.

Had a great time at Club 54 at the MGM Grand, did some awesome shopping at the “Fashion Show” and finished the trip off with an AMAZING trip to the Desert!

My original plan was to take the Bride and Groom to the Desert and leave ‘em there to reflect on their actions, but with the beautiful images they helped me create, I just couldn’t leave them there… Look for a future post with AWESOME shots!

I do not support Obama, I do not want him in the most important job in the world, controlling the most powerful nation in the world. I friend of mine said it very well on his blog and provided some excellent points all backed by Obama’s own words. If people would listen, he tells you he isn’t right for the USA.
