Well a week ago I returned home from an amazing wedding in Cozumel, Mexico. The families were awesome and very friendly and accommodating. Destination wedding are so much fun for everyone, I get to experience some awesome locations, my couple get images that truly can’t be created anywhere else in the world. Just AWESOME!!

Ok so it’s 3:00 3:30 AM and I’m blogging the wedding of Christine and Bryan. This was my first wedding at SMU’s Perkins Chapel and I hope it won’t be my last. What an awesome location for a wedding… This wedding was extra special for me because I’ve known Bryan since he was very young. He grew up in my home town and is the youngest of three brothers all of which I call good friends.

When you grow up in a small town as we did, weddings are just weddings, they are family reunions. The difference is we were joining two awesome families tonight and the party didn’t let us down. I’m super happy for both Christine and Bryan and wish them the best on their new life together. Here are a few from today!

So Emily and Nathan are MARRIED!!!! Yippee!! Talk about be a cowboy to the bone, this couple fall in to that category. Thank goodness I’m from Louisiana because there was ORANGE everywhere, and it look GREAT! Love the couch idea…

This wedding was amazing with a reception right out of the pages of the Great Gatsby. A truly wonderful wedding for an extremely deserving couple!

Destination Weddings: Dominican Republic

Well, I’m up late in Chicago on my way to the Dominican Republic for the wedding of Crystal and Chris. It’ll be an awesome time, but all great trips have road bumps. Our first road bump came when some rain made our American Airline puddle jumper fly from Tulsa to Denver to Nebraska to somewhere to Chicago because the plane couldn’t get wet…

The second road bump, and the biggest yet, was when the staff at the Mirage Restaurant in the Four Point by Sheraton, decided to keep my wife’s cell phone. I’m very angry about this. What type of person cleans the table and pockets a phone.

Natalie was so hurt she cried herself to sleep, which really hurt me. I’m not an overly angry person, but I really want to go and shake them down… For anyone laying over @ O’Hare, stay away from the Four Points by Sheraton hotel… Do yourself a favor.

Anyway, we fly out to Miami at 6:00 AM and assume no more bumps, we’ll be on the beach by mid afternoon!!!! I’m super excited about this wedding as I want to try out some underwater photography. Looking forward to just getting away!

Our office is CLOSED until Tuesday, June 9th. After this post, we won’t have access to phone or email until we hit the mainland next week. Be safe…

Chelsi + Jim = MARRIED IN STYLE {Muskogee Wedding Photographer}

Well, as Saturday approached I got nervous. I know it seems odd considering how many weddings I’ve photographed or how many I will shoot just this year. This wedding just had a different feeling to it. The families are so close, bothers and sisters on both sides make for wonderfully warm and large photo’s.

The day couldn’t have been more perfect. The couple was HOTT, and the setting we perfect. Just a JOY for me!

Crystal + Chris = Fashion Bliss {Fashion Engagement Session}

Natalie and I will be spending the first week of June in the Dominican Republic with Crystal, Chris and their families. I was excited to meet Chris because like most weddings, I typically only talk with the brides until the wedding day.

This session was awesome, talk about a presence… These two have it. I can only imagine the images we’ll create on our destination wedding!

Well, LA ROCKED and here are images to prove it! Chelsi was a trooper as I had all of the locations scouted thanks to the help of some friends. We drove all over the city and captured some AWESOME bridal images.

Well, this past week I traveled out to Los Angeles for a Bridal session for an upcoming wedding. It was AMAZING! I’m a huge movie buff. I’ve seen so many movies, and loved them all, about LA. It’s so cool to see where they filmed some of my favorite movies.

Most recently I was able to watch the Soloist staring Jamie Fox and Robert Downey JR. It is centered on the Disney Theatre and the LA Times. So I was at the Disney Theatre on Tuesday and was able to trace some of the steps of Jamie Fox in the film. HOW COOL WAS THAT!

Oh, in the middle of my movie bliss, I was able to shoot some STUNNING bridal images. I’m now sold, all of my clients need to shoot at least one of their sessions away from Tulsa. Plane tickets are cheap and the adventure is priceless.

That’s the good news, the images ROCK. Now the bad news…. I can’t show anyone until the end of the month… This makes me very sad. You got to see these images. They are breathtaking if I do say so myself.
